SPECIAL RATES FOR LATINXS:
There are inherent power dynamics involved with global currencies and the impact they have on relative affordability and financial accessibility and as such I will offer more accessible rates to people living in and from Latin American countries for this event.

All registrations ideally take place 10 weeks before the contact time begins to ensure that participants have enough time to engage the pre-course work.  For specific dates go to 2020 Teacher Training Dates.

 

 

INVESTMENT INCLUDES:
The main training, basic accommodation, evening meals during training  (excludes all other food and transportation to and from venue), as well as social justice-themed guided prereqs and support for the post-course personalized project. 

 

 

 

SPACE IS LIMITED

This program will be limited to 12 participants, each TT will only run once the minimum of 8 participants have registered and been accepted.

 

 

PRE-REQS and APPLICATION REQUIRED BEFORE SIGN UP

The program has clear pre-requisites that must be demonstrated in a video submission and an application form.  Once you have submitted your video and form we will contact you. 

 

 

COMMITMENT TO ACCESSIBILITY AND AFFORDABILITY 

Keeping this Teacher Training affordable and accessible is a core aim of the program. 

Payment options include sliding scale, payment plans, scholarship and in rare cases work trade options; additionally, we encourage participants to think creatively about fundraising.  Basically, if you are super passionate about joining the Super Hero Circus Academy family and want to combine acro and social justice in deep and meaningful ways and cost is a barrier to you, we want to work with you to turn your dream into a reality.

 

SLIDING SCALE:

The low price is for students, movement practitioners that are getting by but don’t have much extra in their budget.

The higher price is for people that have consistent incomes and the ability to save.  You may find yourself a bit more well off than some in the Acro world and want to use your financial well being to help support others to attend the course, paying the higher rate will allow for this.

The mid-range price is for people that find themselves somewhere in the middle.

 

 

PAYMENT PLANS:

If a payment plan would make it possible to attend this training let’s set one up.  Present a plan and we can put it into place.

 

WORK-TRADE:

Do you have a special skill set that would be beneficial for work-trade? The ideal work trade participants are pro-active, self-starters that can take on a project with minimal supervision.  Do you think your expertise might matches up with the academy’s needs in a way that could feel like a win-win exchange? Ideas for Raising funds for your training costs: 

Many people host fundraisers, events, and/or create crowdsourcing pages like GoFund Me to help pay for the costs involved with getting certified.   Participants are encouraged to think creatively about how they can serve their community; offer an event of value while raising funds to pay for either the teacher training and/or travel costs. Donation based panel discussion on a topic that interests you; screen a social justice oriented film with time for discussion and debriefing afterwards;  Host a share stage/talent show for performers in your community to try out cutting-edge acts that share a meaningful message, perhaps sharing the profits with a local organization in need.
