She/Her/Hers

What makes Kimberly an Acro SuperHero?

Acro helped Kimmi find and grow into her voice. Acro is where she discovered how empowering it is to explore and share personal boundaries, be asked questions like "what do you want to do?". Kimmi loves using Acro to help people connect with their bodies, feel safe, supported, and heard, and expand their beliefs of what they are capable of.

Kimberly's superpowers as an Acro Teacher:

Her super power is cultivating fun, inclusive, welcoming, and empowering spaces

What type/style of Acro does Kimberly teach?

Beginner Acro classes, Acro and Consent workshops, Queer Acro, Discussions on Sexual Violence Prevention.

Kimberly's current Acro offerings:

Due to COVID, I currently offer virtual Acro and Consent workshops.

What to expect from Kimberly's classes:

My classes have a focus on physical and emotional safety. We aim to create a space where people can tune into their bodies, speak up about their boundaries, and feel empowered to try new things with support from myself and spotters.

How does Kimberly incorporate social justice themes into their Acro offerings?I am a consent educator and work in the field of sexual violence prevention. I incorporate messages of consent, empowerment, respect, and a growth mindset in all of my classes. I aim to create a learning environment that goes far beyond just learning Acro skills.

Kimberly's BIO:

I have been practicing acro since December 2018. I immediately fell in love, went to every class and every jam that I could. I am a consent educator and trainer in the field of sexual violence prevention. I teach lessons on child sexual abuse prevention, sexual health, healthy relationships, bystander intervention, trauma-informed care, and more. I bring my experience and understanding of trauma into my classes. I believe in the healing power of movement and safe, consensual touch. Acro has immense ability to help people heal and I am so grateful to be able to facilitate Acro experiences that build people up.

Post-Course Project:

I taught an Acro and consent workshop to a group of eighth grade students.

But if you have come because your liberation is bound up with mine,

then let us work together.”-Lilla Watson
